Engine
The engine in the MK4 GTI is a 20 valve 1.8 litre turbocharged engine. The earlier versions of this engine made 150HP with a 155 ft lbs of torque at 8.7psi. 2002 and onward engines produced 180HP and 174 ft lbs of torque at 11.6psi. All of these engines can be easily tuned from various tuning companies such as urotronic, APR or other companies with a simple off the shelf tune. After tuning the this engine can make over 200HP with very little supporting mods.
